On Sunday 24th April at The Armitage Centre in Fallowfield, the Textile Society’s Antique & Textile Vintage Fair is a key date for thrifters and lovers of vintage homeware!
Starting at 7.30am and finishing at 4pm, the event brings together the best of vintage dealers from across the globe, with vendors from Asia and Europe brought to you by leading specialists in the field.
The fair is a hub for all passionate collectors of textiles and was the first of its kind to specialise only in textiles.
From 17th and 18th century pieces, to preserved dresses, costumes and 60s style homeware – the event is an exciting and great source of objects and ideas to transform your wardrobe or reinvent the bare walls of your living room.
The fair is hosted by The Textile Society who promote the study of textile disciplines and celebrate the history and culture of textiles, both traditional and contemporary.
Established as an educational charity back in 1982, it gives support to students, designers, historians and practitioners through its educational and professional awards.
The main way the Society raises funds is through its vintage and antique fairs, with the Manchester event being a key date in the calendar for over 20 years. All proceeds help fund the Society’s awards, bursaries and activities, including specialist study days, group visits, a biennial research symposium and an annual conference with a changing theme.

Tickets are £7 for general admission and Textile Society members / students can bag entry for just £5.
If you want to beat the crowds and get your hands on the antique treasures first, you can also purchase an early bird ticket for £20, which gets you access to the fair from 7.30am. There’s also a £10 option, which will allow you to gain entry at 8.30am. General admission tickets start at 10am.
