As part of Manchester’s ‘Halloween in the City’ celebrations, The Oast House on Spinningfields will be hosting a Spooky Pooch Show – basically the opportunity for dog owners to dress their four-legged friends in outfits to try and win some big prizes.

Taking place from 2pm on Sunday 27th October, owners are encouraged to dress their dog up but also get on stage wearing a matching costume – with previous duos including Red Riding Hood & The Wolf, R2-D2 and C-3PO and Turner & Hooch. (Two of those are made up).

Winners will be selected from four categories, including Most Original Costume and Spookiest Pooch, with a range of ghostly goodies up for grabs, such as ‘pupcakes’ from Hey Little Cupcake, a £75 Spinningfields voucher and more.

Participants will even receive an exclusive 10% off their food bill at The Oast House, allowing them to enjoy delicious dishes in the restaurant or tepee on the day, with a screening of 101 Dalmatians set to play at 12pm, prior to the event.

Not only is this event set to be the best Halloween show around, but it is also set to raise money for a great cause, with all £5 registration fees going to Dogs4Rescue– an independent dog rescue centre based in Manchester.

It is advised that all participating dogs are accustomed to regular exercise and are well adjusted to crowds and noisy environments with people and other dogs.
