This Saturday, Free Mission World will be hosting their first event at Beehive Studio in Ancoats. Hosted by Photographer and Founder of Free Mission World, Ema Crompton.

Recently producing a podcast for the BBC about the damaging effects of fast fashion, Ema is working to showcase alternative ways of clothes shopping.

Now working solely with sustainable and ethically sourced clothing, Ema is taking small steps toward a more sustainable future and is aiming to change the stigma by shedding light on the joys of vintage, second-hand and responsibly made fashion.

Saturday the 18th of January will see Free Mission World’s first event hosted by Ema, the ‘Swap Shop’.

Entry is free, and attendees will be able to come away with 10 ‘new’ clothing items each – for free!

Open to all, the event will run from 12pm – 4pm (donations are optional!)

Clothing donations, accessories, shoes and gifts are welcomed and can be brought along to the Swap Shop between 11.30pm – 1pm.

Anything left over will be donated to Manchester’s Mustard Tree!

There will also be a Vegan Bake Sale (cash only!) with all proceeds going to support the New South Wales RSPCA.

The perfect chance to have a chat, meet some new people and leave with a few nice ‘new’ treats! Head down to Beehive Studio with your friends, sisters & mums this Saturday.

If you are unable to attend but wish to donate, please contact Free Mission World via Instagram.
