Historic Manchester clothing brand Private White V.C. will be holding an exclusive sample sale this weekend, knocking as much as 80% off some of its luxury pieces.

The first sample sale to be held in over 5 years, it will take place on Friday 19 October and Saturday 20 October at their 150 year old factory in Salford.

Among the clothes on the racks will be never-before-seen designs from the brand, which still makes its clothes in the same factory space which first opened its doors on the banks of the Irwell in 1853.

Over the years, the brand has made garments for royalty, presidents, and prime ministers, as well as rock stars, musicians, sporting greats and Hollywood icons. Private White V.C. is currently sold in many of the most prestigious department stores & boutiques around the world.

Originally a utilitarian clothing maker, they supplied the Allied Forces with their cotton gabardine trench coats during World War I, and were commissioned by the Ministry of Defence to supply the RAF with waterproof parkas in World War II.

Refreshments on the day will be provided by Pollen Bakery.

Getting free tickets for the event is advised, with a few tickets left for the 9am VIP start on Saturday morning, with general admission from 10am until closing at 5pm.

The Friday sale starts at 1pm until 7pm, and there’s free parking on site.
