Serving as a fitting way to prepare for Halloween this year, Scare City – sponsored by Swizzels Matlow – will transform the historic Lancashire theme park into a blood curdling ordeal for anyone brave enough to enter.

Hailed as the longest immersive horror experience, the 2km trek will witness guests walk through 12 zones of terror that come to life with horrifying live actors.

Brave visitors will be tasked with surviving the likes of frightful Camelot Castle and Whirlwind Woods that form part of the city that has been described as ‘two hours of frightening fun’.

The twisted minds behind the Scare City concept say of the unique experience: “As your nerves are shredded by every snap of a branch, the rustle of leaves and a gust of wind, something far more unnatural approaches.

“It’ll feed on your fear…if you let it. Will you make it out in one piece?”

There’s a word of warning, though, as organisers have stressed the experience isn’t for the faint hearted, saying it’s fit ‘only for those seeking a festival of fear, where glee and gore go hand-in-hand’.

Scare City will take over Camelot Theme Park in Chorley, Lancashire from this Friday 30th September

Tickets are on sale now for £20pp, while VIP tickets including drinks, an exclusive seating area and a Scare City gift cost £40pp.
