If you’re passionate about tabletop gaming, street food and a good bit of brunch, Dungeons & Flagons next event at GRUB is not one to be missed!
On Sunday the 14th August, the Red Bank street food venue will be transformed by the gaming aficionados, who will host over 200 board games each with their own dedicated host to help you out whatever your level.
GRUB will be serving up some delicious drinks deals at its bar alongside the event, featuring 2 for £8 Mimosas and unlimited tea and coffee for just £3!
Dungeons & Flagons is an independent tabletop gaming events company who are passionate about introducing board gaming to as many people as possible at their fun, friendly and interactive events.
Headed up by James Oxley, he began the company after studying Events Management at MMU. When he graduated, he convinced the bosses at The Flour & Flagon just off Oxford Road to allow him to combine his love of board games with a night – inviting the people of Manchester down to play and learn new games, and things got very popular very quickly.
He now runs Dungeons & Flagons at four venues across the city every single week, and every one is packed out with a ragtag selection of people, from serious role players and their years-long Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, to newbies looking to pique their curiosity.
Although he claims not to know ALL the rules for EVERY game – his modesty hides the fact that he’s certainly probably the city’s foremost expert, and loves offering suggestions on what to play next.
Tickets for GRUB’s Dungeons & Flagons Board Game brunch are £2 per person, which gets you entry to the venue and access to any of the 200+ board games. There’ll also be an array of brunch dishes available from some of Manchester’s most popular street food traders.
