This Sunday, Stockport will once again host a huge vintage fair inside the town’s Market Hall in celebration of 90 years of events in the iconic venue.

Guests can expect a range of local, independent stalls and traders offering hand picked and curated items from past eras, spanning homeware, clothing and accessories for those looking for an affordable interior or wardrobe refresh.

This time round, the market is also hosting a fancy dress competition where guests are encouraged to attend dressed as their favourite movie character or film star! Exclusive prizes will be available on the day for the best costumes.

The market takes place on the second Sunday of every month, with the team behind the concept handpicking a diverse selection of traders all showcasing a huge variety of vintage goods.

Previous events have seen statement jewellery, pre-loved ceramics, one-of-a-kind vintage staples and boxes upon boxes and vintage vinyl to explore, alongside live music and food stalls.

Located just a stone’s throw away from Stockport’s incredible Underbanks, there are also plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and cafes for guests to explore alongside their vintage digging.

Pop into the likes of SK1 Records or All Night Flight for more music treasures, or grab a pint of two at Stockport’s newest bar The Spin Off, which houses a huge selection of craft beers, natural wines and cocktails.

If you’re looking to end the day with some tasty food, Bistro Marc at Winter’s is definitely worth stopping by. Focused on good quality traditional French dishes, the restaurant is also sat in the iconic Grade II listed Winter’s building, a local landmark and part of Stockport’s heritage trail.
