We’re finally set for a scorcher this weekend after weeks of false promises. Temperatures are set to soar to around 23º across Saturday and Sunday – and I can’t think of a better way to spend it than sitting in the beer garden of your local boozer.
Prestwich’s The Goods In is the perfect place to plonk yourself for two days of sun, and this Saturday also sees Stockport’s The Plant Shop bring along a plethora of its finest shrubbery to the venue!
There’ll be coffee, bakes, craft beers, cocktails, food and DJs spinning tunes until midnight, alongside The Plant Shop’s pop-up featuring Monsteras, Pothos plants and everything in between.
The Goods In is a popular Prestwich hangout, famous for its tasty food and drink offerings, which features sandwiches from Hulk’s Hoagies. The sandwich shop crafts incredible butties brimming with everything from Caponata Aubergine, to Hanger Steak, Miso Glazed Sashimi and Grandad’s Sausages.
Their bakes also come from Cottareli’s Italian artisan pasticceria. Specialising in Cronuts, Sfogliatelle, Coda D’Aragoste and Cibo Napoletano – they’re made for pairing with a good quality cup of coffee, which also isn’t missing at The Goods In.
You’ll find an extensive list of cocktails and beers at the Prestwich spot, too, which will be in endless supply across this coming weekend of sun.
The Plant Shop was set up by Emma Nosurak back in 2017, and sits at its permanent spot just off Stockport’s Little Underbank. The store stocks pretty much every kind of plant you could want for your collection, alongside other homeware accessories and sustainable skincare and cleaning products.
The store will be set up at The Goods In all-day this Saturday (14th May) and DJs will play from midday until midnight.
