Eyebrow threading specialist Jo Pallan opens on The Avenue
Late last year I was introduced to the wonderful world of threading, a number of scary brow experiences previously leaving me terrified to go anywhere near beauticians and their waxing/tweezing. And since I’ve been having my brows regularly threaded I’ve never been more content.
So excited I was to hear that celebrity eyebrow threader Jo Pallan has expanded her business with a new threading lounge in Nicky Clarke on The Avenue, Spinningfields in Manchester.
With over 10 years’ experience, Jo has a burgeoning threading lounge in Leeds, and chose Manchester as the location for expansion.
Clients include a number of celebs, with Emmerdale stars Pauline Quirke, Suzanne Shaw and Shobna Gulati and a number of premiership footballers all regular visitors to Jo’s salon.
Little did I know – threading can be anything from the shoulders up; including the more conventional eyebrow shaping, threading can also remove hair from around the hairlines and above the lip. So off I went, very giddy to be welcomed down to the luxury, and very private suite at Nicky Clarke to meet Jo herself and have a brow make over.
Jo is super friendly and explains everything she’s going to do. Analyses my personal style, day to night (perfectly may I add) and lets me know that she’s going to give me a slightly darker tint to what they are already, to match a day and night look, give my brows a general tidy but essentially even out my brows and give me what should look like a mini face lift.
30 minutes later – I’m genuinely transformed. As shapely as I thought my brows were before – I actually look like I’ve had a little face lift – my face just looks different. A little younger, eyes a little bigger, and my brows are nothing short of perfect! I couldn’t thank Jo enough.
Back at work everyone noticed the difference immediately!
