Everyone loves a good brew and the amount of “Tea Shops” that have opened recently is testament to not only the demand, but the quality that is out there. Usually much more homely and certainly less American than your Starbucks or Cafe Neros of the world I find myself spending a lot of time in my favourite tea haunts, even if I want coffee.

North Tea Power
It’s fairly obvious from the name that if you want more than just a ‘good brew’ North Tea Power is going to be a good. Here you can find all the tea you need, black, green & white, with the added bonus of being able to take a few bags away with you to enjoy at home.

TeaCup & Cakes
A Northern Quarter favourite TeaCup & Cakes offers a great selection of loose leaf and bagged tea. You can’t go far wrong if you nip in here of an afternoon, just make sure you get some cake to go with it as the selection is unreal.

Sugar Junction
Quintessentially English. Afternoon Tea is the order of the day, or simply tea and cake if you like, either way this place is great, only a small café but beautifully done and the size only adds to the atmosphere.
