Black Country, New Road | 2nd Oct | Yes
Black Country, New Road are on the road touring following the release of their recent single “Sunglasses”. Black Country, New Road are an enigmatic London-based six-piece who have got a lot of people talking, and we can understand why. Despite scarce information available on the band up to now, their debut single Athens, France sold out of its pressing on Speedy Wunderground in a matter of days. Dope Lemon | 2nd Oct | Gorilla
Dope Lemon is the side project of Angus Stone, he is finally returned with brand new single ‘Hey You’. To coincide with the single’s release, he’s is on a nationwide tour. ‘Hey You’ is the lead single taken from Dope Lemon’s upcoming album ‘Smooth Big Cat’, the follow up to 2016’s ‘Honey Bones’. Probably one of the hottest gigs this month! 2019 Mercury nominee Little Simz, stage name of North London’s Simbi Ajikawo, is up in Manchester to play Academy 3. Having released four mixtapes and five EPs, she released her debut album, ‘A Curious Tale of Trials and Persons’ in September 2015, through her own independent label, AGE: 101 Music. The rapper followed this up with 2016’s ‘Stillness in Wonderland’ and dropped her new record, ‘GREY Area’, in March 2019.
