Manchester’s top underground DJs, bands, MCs and spoken word artists will be returning to the idyllic surrounds of the Green Island Festival for 2024.
This year’s line-up will feature a host of ‘local heroes’, including the likes of Chunky, Victoria Jane, Lovescene and Ruf Dug taking over the inner city paradise that is the Hulme Community Garden Centre.
Joining them will be Afriquoi, Def MaMa Def, David Walters, Fat Out, Rinse FM resident Arthi, and jazz artist corto.alto.
Also on the bill will be the likes of Levi Love, the Cosmic Slop crew from Leeds, Fat Camp, Supernature Disco, Hannah Rodriguez, Queer Icons Karaoke, Third Kulture, Arch Femmesis and Tia Cousins.
This year will also see the festival expanding into Warwick Street to the back of the festival site, and also the NIAMOS Centre, with a new audiophile, vinyl-only Selectors Stage, curated by Sheffield’s Apricot Ballroom.
As ever, there will be family-friendly activities and food vendors all day.
Meanwhile, official afterparties will take place in the basement at Pink Room at YES, from 11pm until late into the night.
It happens over three weekends in the summer – 15 June, 27 July and the final date on 17 September.
Tickets are on sale now, starting at £20, with an option to donate £1 to Manchester non-profit Eat Well MCR.
