Kaluki Launches Every Saturday from June 11th

Sankeys kick start the summer in spectacular style as June showcases the club’s forward thinking approach to line-ups in resplendent fashion. Whilst Sankeys continues its global surge with the breathtaking announcement of their second club in Ibiza’s fashionable Playa d’en Bossa district, the pedal won’t be taken off the throttle back home with a relentless ensemble of dance music’s finest adorning their bookings. Along with the recent inauguration of new resident Jozef K who plays on June 4th and 18th, this represents yet another amazing evolution for the club which in 2010 was crowned DJ Mag’s Best Club In The World.

Of special note is the full time weekly installment of long-running monthly session, Kaluki, becoming a weekly event from Saturday June 11th. This is a huge step up for the club founded by Ellesse – also one of the party’s residents – and each and every Saturday Kaluki will be offering a sublime take on house electronica. Ellesse says that, “We’re obviously chuffed to bits this is happening as it’s a huge step for everyone at Kaluki, and we’re incredibly proud to be representing Sankeys every Saturday with our own take on what’s hot in the scene. We will also be using the Basement and the newly christened Treehouse upstairs, giving us a broader range of scope for our bookings. Look out for some of the UK’s and Europe’s coolest names coming to Sankeys!”

Thank F&£k it’s Friday will be administering cross genre pollinations with a music policy that veers across every facet of dance music. And that’s reflected by the breadth of talent booked in June; a veritable feast of the most amiable of aural architects all lined up to take hold of the decks at Sankeys. There’s stadium shaking trance and electro from the one and only Ferry Corsten on June 3rd and his Full on Ferry; Ibiza party, whilst the main room vibes are also administered by Oliver Ingrosso, younger brother of Swedish House Mafia lynchpin Sebastian a week later on the 10th.

The final two Fridays sees another set of equally rip-roaring house stalwarts. The Swedish connection continues on the 17th when Stockholm’s finest duo Dada Life rock up for the night, with the party controls helmed on the 24th by Prok & Fitch, the Brighton badboys who continue to garner acclaim from every area of clubbing. Four evenings of fist pumping euphoria guaranteed.

The Saturday sees the focus resolutely on the underground. June 4th sees the return of the Italian loons as Ibiza’s perennial party throwing superstars Circo Loco are back in at Sankeys, arriving with Tania Vulcano and Toro for the fun. Kaluki then gets ready to take over Saturdays from the 11th onwards, with residents Ellesse and OD Muzique joined by an embarrassment of riches in electronic talent.

The 11th is bolstered by UK house hero Russ Yallop, a week later on the 18th Dutch groove shaman Kabale und Liebe is in full effect whilst the final weekend sees none other than London sensation Robert James and Leeds titan Burnski at the controls on the 25th. It’s the start of Sankeys next era of clubbing being readily ushered in with Kaluki entrusted with the responsibility to take the clubnight even further forward in upcoming years.
