Homobloc, the all-day queer block party for all, will return to Depot Mayfield on Saturday 6 December for its sixth triumphant year, bringing together music, performance, and queer community spirit under one roof.

Headlining will be UK pop icons Sugababes, joined by long-time Homobloc favourites Honey Dijon and The Blessed Madonna. Also confirmed are Berlin-based DJ and creative director Patrick Mason, Scissor Sisters’ Ana Matronic, and a rare DJ set from Gossip frontwoman Beth Ditto.

The 2025 event follows a landmark year for the collective, which has included shows with Romy and Princess Superstar, closing the Manchester International Music Festival, and a debut at Ibiza’s Amnesia. Known for its mix of live acts, DJs, and performance art, Homobloc has become one of Manchester’s most pivotal annual LGBTQ+ gatherings.

Other highlights include US star Slayyyter, electroclash legend Peaches b2b with Trash don Erol Alkan, Hercules & Love Affair live, garage don Todd Edwards, and Manchester’s own Gina Breeze, Aiden Francis and Kim Lana. Performances will spread across Depot Mayfield’s main rooms and satellite stages, including the Plant Room, the Star & Garter pub, and the newer rooftop Loft space.

Creative partnerships form a core part of the programming, with collectives such as Pxssy Palace, Butch Revival, Ghetto Fabulous, T4T, House of Spice x Zindagi and Red Rodeo Club all contributing takeovers. This year marks Pxssy Palace’s 10th anniversary, with a line-up featuring Jay Jay Revlon, UNIIQU3 and Che3ks.

Rod Connolly, Homobloc promoter, said: “We can’t wait for people to dive into our 2025 lineup of queer excellence, proudly merging global and local artists, returning friends, and scratching the underbelly of the scene to showcase the rawest talent from the queer underground. In a time of rising division, events like Homobloc matter more than ever. We deserve a space for our community and allies to come together and hold each other up on a dancefloor full of love and resistance.”

Homobloc Creative Director Sophie Bee added: “The team are super excited to be back. We’ve got some unreal collaborations booked in for this year, from Jodie Harsh and Clayton Wright’s London community strong, weekly club night Feel It to local hot talent Rojak. Loads of favourites are back like the Fvck Pigs, Sue Veneers, Ghetto Fabulous, Cute Cartel and Jay Jay Revlon, and there’s some really exciting b2b’s. We’re working with mind blowing producers such as Runway X Banksie and the nation’s favourite, Lill, producing a fabulous line up of queens. We’re also cooking away at some special happenings with Sam Buttery and Beau Azra.”

House of Spice, who join the line-up for 2025, said: “Homobloc is more than a festival to us – it’s a celebration of queerness, music, and chosen family. As a South Asian, Middle Eastern and North African queer brown collective, House of Spice is proud to bring our flavour to 2025… Homobloc represents unity and visibility, and we can’t wait to dance, perform, and celebrate with everyone under one roof.”

Homobloc also continues its fundraising work for LGBTQ+ charities, having raised more than £137,000 since 2021.

Pre-sale tickets will go live on Thursday 11 September at 10am, with general sale opening on Friday 12 September at 10am at www.homobloc.co.uk.
