Launched in collaboration with Ancoats plant shop, Northern Lights and musician Ceeow, The Garden is a live music evening showcasing some of the city’s best talent while promoting mental health awareness.

Taking place on Saturday 26th November, The Garden aims to promote mindful practices through an array of performance art. The pieces performed are primarily based within live music, although the event will also include spoken word and live art via painting and drawing.

The genres across the evening will predominantly lie in R&B, Hip-Hop and Jazz performed by three incredibly talented local, independent artists. There’ll also be two spoken word performers on the evening centred around the topic of ‘The Garden’.

Performers at the event include; R’Monah, Ragoloco, Fallu, and Ceeow, who will bring his combination of Hip-Hop and Jazz. Thriving off community, Ceeow has dedicated the past 5+ years to music but also to mental health support where he has worked closely with recovery and wellbeing, as well as working in a behavioural needs unit.

This will be followed by resident DJ Lenny Hamilton who will round up the evening with R&B and soothing soul classics.

Rounding off the evening, the artists will also take part in a panel style discussion exploring the topic of mental wellbeing, sharing their own personal experiences on their progression as an artist.

The topics aim to dig deeper into the individual understanding of mental health and tap into something that may resonate with those in attendance.
