They have a history that has seen them work with bass heavyweights such as Chase & Status, Skrillex, Sub Focus and Pendulum, highly acclaimed producers such as SBTRKT and Groove Armada, through to chart topping stars like Katy B, Dizzee Rascal and Tinie Tempah.

The original founder of Metropolis, Wilf Gregory, DJ and producer, has made his passion a realised business. Now a founder and director of several festivals across Europe, including Lost & Found and Hideout, as well as an important part of the charity The Loop.

Wilf says – “As 2018 approaches, after being established in 2002, we are excited to be celebrating our 15th year in the only way we know how, with two spectacular events to honour a scene that is truly beloved to many and as important to Manchester as any other. Both shows will be held at the renowned, Manchester Academy with some of the world’s best DJs and long established friends of Metropolis in attendance. This has truly been a labour of love over the last 15 years, and long may it continue…”

With the new year celebrations, a distant memory, this first all-nighter of 2018 will be a collaboration – Metropolis and Together – on Friday 26th January, running from 9pm-6am. Metropolis have teamed up with Together, who have hosted Ibiza’s favourite Tuesday night party at Amnesia for 8 years, as well as residencies at Ministry of Sound, and the O2 Academy, Brixton.

Featuring headliners Mu Nu Leng with MC Dread, SASASAS collective, a series of back-to-back performances by Hype & Hazard with MC Eksman, Serum & Randall with MC Ad, Notion and Virgo and many more established Manchester performers and visiting acts. All hosted by Manchester premier MC Tonn Piper.

Next up, on Friday 16th February, and running from 9pm-6am, Metropolis presents Masters of Drum & Bass. Headlining will be an exclusive DJ set by the critically acclaimed Dutch electronic music trio, Noisia. DJ Guv, a rising star of the drum & bass fraternity, with the stone-cold legends of Ed Rush, Dillinja and Nicky Blackmarket are also welcomed to this exceptional list of talent. Other artists include the irrepressible Northbase, Mark XTC, Sappo, Upgrade and many, many more. As ever the MC list is something to behold, headed up by Tonn Piper, a true master of ceremonies.
