Hidden will be hosting its very own New Years Eve get together this year and if anyone knows how to put on a party it’s these guys! There hasn’t been much announced in the way of line-ups yet, but, it’s almost sold out, so be sure to grab your ticket soon to avoid disappointment!
Grower Champagne & British Seafood at Flawd
New Islington’s waterside natural wine bar are hosting their very first NYE party with a menu for the evening that will focus on the pristine seafood from around the British Isles. A bottle of Champagne will be included with each table reservation made and food will be served until midnight, the party carrying on until 2am.
NYE Parade at Ramona & The Firehouse
For New Year’s Eve, Ramona & The Firehouse are coming together as one big party venue for a monumental, New York style loft party of epic proportions. Tickets start at £20 for the dance tent, going up to £50 for a table for the night (with VIP booths available too).
‘Come As You Are’ at The Refuge
This year, the Refuge will welcome in 2022 with a riotous celebration as they say Happy New Year with a show stopping spectacle. Hosted in the Public bar of The Refuge by local legends of the Manchester music scene and special DJ family: DJ Paulette and Supernature Disco, the final hurrah of 2021 will be spent boogying into the early hours of 2022.
New Year’s Eve with HIT & RUN at ‘Secret Location’
Originally curated by Rich Reason and spending its heyday encased in the sweaty walls of Mint Lounge, HIT & RUN will return to a secret location in Manchester for its first NYE party in almost 10 years! The line-up includes; Biome, Daseplate, Ghoulish and Mako MCR to name a few, and is not one to be missed this December!
Cafe Mambo at Albert Hall
Following on from their sell-out event in 2020, Cafe Mambo returns to the Albert Hall for a New Year’s Eve extravaganza with Todd Terry, Lovely Laura & Ben Santiago, Erik Hagleton and a very special guest performance by the always enjoyable House Gospel Choir.
Floorplan NYE at Joshua Brooks
Joshua Brooks will be welcoming Floorplan (Robert & Lyric Hood) this New Year’s Eve, plus Sharples and Bill Rodgers – on from 9pm until 4am.
Habitat NYE at Off The Square
What. A. Flyer. Look at that. Gold, glitter and everything else in between. What a way to tell everyone about Habitat’s return to the NQ’s Off The Square venue on Lever Street, a night that will be hosted by Yung OMZ, Tone Rarri and AK GRAMM.
Vegan New Year’s Eve at GRUB
GRUB are saying goodbye to 2021 with a 100% vegan New Year’s Eve party. Expect plant powered street food, a fully vegan bar, festive specials, a show stopper BakeORama cake, karaoke and games plus DJs and dancing.
Clubland Live NYE at Victoria Warehouse
There’s fewer than 1% of tickets left for this massive Clubland party at Victoria Warehouse this New Year’s Eve – and if you’re into club classics – there’s no better place in the city to be. I’d say don’t forget your glowsticks but I’m sure people don’t bother with them any more.
New Year’s Eve at Ducie Street Warehouse
Ducie Street Warehouse is gearing up for a show-stopping, vibrant New Year’s Eve party on 31st December to welcome 2022 in style. The evening will see a captivating programme of free entertainment, hosted by the fabulous Cheddar Gorgeous, to showcase a series of unique performances. The stunning Ducie Street Warehouse lounge will be transformed into a nouveau party den, as guests will be welcomed by performers, decorated in surreal opulence from head to toe. The party will see some of the most exciting happenings in town, including a peep show at the Mini Cini with burlesque performances from Lady Wildflower, plus contortionists and a fortune teller, who will be held at the back of the lounge.
Cabaret & Cocktails at Escape to Freight Island
Freight Island’s ticket hall will be transformed into its very own Revue this NYE, a cabaret from the ages for all ages with a selection of Funk, Soul and Disco and house starting at 12 noon until the early hours of 2022. For those wanting to make their night extra special, Freight Island also has a range of VIP experiences including The Jane Eyre Cocktail Bar in the Sky priced at £40 per person plus fee. This includes a welcome cocktail, canapés on arrival, and an elevated and VIP view of the entertainment all night. Manchester’s infamous club night Girls on Film will also be taking centre stage, playing all the 80s, 90s and 00s classics!
‘Music of Many Colours’ at NAM
This New Year’s Eve, NAM will see in 2022 with a special ‘Music of Many Colours’ presented by Manchester’s very own So Flute, while New Year’s Day see’s Donna Leake and Anti Social Jazz Club takeover Manchester’s finest audiophile sound system. So Flute residents Danuka, Yadava and extended family member Contours for a celebratory sound excursion of house, jazz, soul and world music. The legendary MC Kwasi will be hosting the evening, so you already know it’s going to be a night to remember. New Year’s Eve at NAM will make for a super cosy affair with all manner of soulful sounds played through NAM’s beautiful Klipschorn speakers, with space to dance across both floors.
Kevin & Perry Go Large at The Liquor Store
Get prepared to be flung straight back to the 90s for a 24 HOUR old school Ibiza party at The Liquor Store this New Year’s Eve. Inspired by cult-classic Kevin and Perry Go Large, the night promises to be full of nostalgic 90s bangers and, of course, mambo shirts are MORE than welcome. The Liquor store is set to be transformed into a mini Amnesia, with FREE ‘eye ball Paul’ bucket hats, glow sticks, retro alcopops and shooters. It’s also time to dig out the shell suit that may be sat gathering dust at the back of your mum’s (or your own) wardrobe, as the dress code is 90s and 00s clubbing.
Ring in 2022 at Twenty Twenty Two
Ping-pong your way into 2022 at Twenty Twenty Two?! YES PLEASE! Hidden away in everyone’s favourite Northern Quarter basement, Twenty Twenty Two will have its infamous ping pong matches on the go, as well as darts and arcade games all night to see you nicely into the new year. DJs will also be playing some bangers in the main room to get you right in the party spirit.
Family-Friendly New Year’s Eve at One Central
Altrincham’s One Central will be keeping with their Aprés ski theme and hosting a daytime celebration on NYE – ready for the big countdown at midnight. You can get involved in their toasty warm tipis from 1pm, plus there’ll be loads of food and drink on hand to keep you going. The Casa Boys will be pumping out 80s/90s and House throughout the day. The FREE family-friendly countdown will start at 6p, with a SNOW FINALE at 7pm.
Exclusive Lunch & Dinner Menu at Tattu
Tattu has launched an exclusive lunch and dinner New Year’s Eve AND New Year’s Day menu this year, with the restaurant being open on January 1st for the first time ever. The NYE lunch menu comes in at £55 per person and has dishes including Black Cod and Prawn with Saffron and Soya Bean, and Wok Fried Angry Bird, which is chicken, roasted chilli peppers and sesame honey soy. The NYE dinner option is £95 per person, and has some stunning dishes, including Fillet Steak with Caramel Soy.
Wax Format at South
This New Years Eve, Wax Format returns to it’s spiritual home for one very special, intimate journey of trance classics, complete with a big laser show, CO2 cannons and a thumping Funktion One soundsystem. Oh, and of course – 8 hours of glorious vinyl only action.
Funkademia at Mint Lounge
Manchester’s longest running club night – Funkademia – are heading to Mint Lounge in the NQ this New Year’s Eve and you just know that it’s going to be an absolute banger of a night. David Dunne & Les Croasdaile will be spinning the biggest Funkademia dance floor killers until 4am.
NYE with Mark Hogg at Pen & Pencil
NQ favourite Pen & Pencil will be hosting a big FREE party this New Year’s Eve and they’ll have Mark Hogg on the decks spinning the very best in House, Soul and Disco.
5-Course Menu at The Con Club
Altrincham party venue will be hosting a sumptuous 5-course menu curated by Ed Saunders & Harrison LeBoutillier – available from 6pm onwards. Resident DJs ‘Casa’ will be on the decks from 8pm, plus some live music to keep you on your feet until (and past) midnight.
All Day Happy Hour at Nell’s KAMPUS
Carb up before the big night with Nell’s famous 22-inch pizzas, beers and cocktails! The restaurant will be open until 10pm, with happy hour on ALL DAY, including; £4 pints, £5 cocktails, £15 bottles of wine and £20 bottles of Prosecco. A Massive Cheeseboard & Beers at Port Street Beerhouse

This completely free event will see the bar open from midday, with cheese and beer tasting available from 10pm for all guests, and if any of you are planning to start a strict New Year diet, this one might be just for you! I’ll take 64 blocks of cheddar, please.
New Year’s Eve at Common
As we all already know, Common is a class Northern Quarter boozer known for its laid-back vibe and great tunes, which make it an absolute must for a New Year’s Eve shindig. The bar will serve slices until late, have DJs playing music to get you right in the mood and its staying open until 2am, too, an absolute no-brainer for the December 31st date in the diary if you ask me.
Rhythm Club at The Beagle
The Beagle is going big on music for this year’s New Year bash, with four sets to see you straight into January. Starting early with a forgotten pop set, Rob Lee will serve up some New Order and Saint Etienne classics, alongside some other hidden gems, then Northern Soul stompers from DJ Xavi Heras will see guests through until dusk. In the evening you can expect Top of the Pops 91 DJs spinning some late 80s and early 90s chart-topping bangers and non-stop 00s indie classics to welcome January in with a big swooped side fringe. Pizza serve ‘til late and free entry!

Smithfield Social is putting on its very own curry night starting at 5pm on New Year’s Eve. You’ll be able to get three curry, rice, naan AND unlimited booze for just £27.50 per person. Prestwich Social has announced its New Year’s Eve Bond themed party aptly named ‘No Time to Dine’, which will see that bar transformed into a 007 casino style retreat. Expect casino tables, a shooting gallery, vodka martinis (shaken, not stirred), and an exquisite three-course a la carte menu, soundtracked by a live band playing all the Bond hits. There’s also an Aston Martin experience day up for grabs for the evening’s best dressed guest, so, suits at the ready!
