British singer-songwriter Passenger who has received the British Academy’s Ivor Novello Award for Most Performed Work is coming to Manchester’s Albert Hall to promote his new album ‘Runaway’. Arctic Monkeys | Thurs 6th & Fri 7th | Arena
The Sheffield rockers have been busy touring and headlining various European festivals over the summer it’s now time for Alex Turner and the Arctic Monkeys boy’s to return to Manchester with their new album and live show. Their sixth album ‘Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino’ is just over 3 months old now, the album which has received a lot of mixed reviews…its definitely a grower! American rock band from California Incubus became one of the most popular alt-metal bands of the new millennium. The iconic, multi-platinum selling band, Incubus are returning to the UK for the first time in three years. Best known for his place in The Strokes, Albert Hammond Jr. has still managed to carve himself a pretty decent solo career outside of the band as well as contributing to loads of other artists with his skills as a songwriter and music producer. He’s heading for Manchester Acadmey this September.

Biffy Clyro are on their first ever acoustic album and tour. The band will be coming to Manchester Opera House for a single show on 22nd of this month. Rex Orange County | Wed 26th | Albert Hall
Rex Orange County (AKA Alex O Connor) has been on our radar for the last 12 months, when he last played the Deaf Institute. Since the release of his album this year the talented 19 year old’s fanbase has now grown and he is back in Manchester playing a considerably larger venue, The Albert Hall. Coming in second in the BBC Sound of 2018 Awards and a fully sold out UK tour the lad is doing alright. Catch him now before he moves up to arenas. The Magic Gang | Thurs 27th | Albert Hall
Brighton quartet The Magic Gang released their debut self titled album this year. The band are signed to ex-Maccabees member Felix White’s own label, YALA Records. Hugo White (also ex-Maccabees) was also involved in the production of the album, that was years in the making. They are an exciting new upbeat indie band, get yourself a ticket to their gig at the Albert Hall and check them out. Tickets are only £14.50

Peter Hook & The Light | Sat 29th | Albert Hall
Peter “Hooky” Hook was the bassist for the English post-punk band Joy Division and New Order. Perhaps one of the most important artists for British post-punk, now touring with his own band The Light. Having toured the albums from Hooky’s previous bands for almost eight years now, Peter Hook & The Light have now arrived at the next chapter in their journey as they reach the late Eighties and early Nineties albums of New Order, “Technique” and “Republic” which they will perform at Manchester’s Albert Hall this month, PLUS there’ll be an opening set of Joy Division material! This show is going to be massive and it is of course sold out, so keep an eye out for resale.
