Manchester’s historic Victoria Baths is about to get a ghoulish makeover. On Saturday 28 October, the venue will host “The Silence of the Baths,” a Halloween-themed silent disco that promises a bewitching blend of eerie and enchanting atmospheres. The event, doors for which open at 7 pm, will be taken over by legendary Girls on Film, joined by special guest DJs THT GRL (Not Bad For A Girl) and DJ MX WORLD.
With its labyrinthine corridors and over 100 years of history, Victoria Baths offers the perfect setting for a fright night. The venue will be dressed top to bottom in Halloween décor, inviting guests to a world where the line between eerie and enchanting is unsettlingly thin. It is a place designed for things to go bump in the night.
For over ten years, Girls on Film have captivated club-goers in venues across Manchester. On Halloween weekend, they make their Victoria Baths debut to deliver what’s being billed as an “outrageous silent-but-deadly disco” in one of the city’s most iconic venues.
The pool halls and Turkish Baths will be open for exploration, with the silent disco primarily taking place in the Sports Hall. The bar will serve a variety of spirits, chasers, craft beers, specially crafted cocktails, mocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages.
There will be three separate DJ booths. Hattie Pearson of Girls on Film will command channel 1 with 80s and 90s floor-fillers, while DJ MX WORLD will blast 00s hits on channel 2. THT GRL (Not Bad For A Girl) will manage channel 3, promising a mix of all their biggest belters.
Guests are encouraged to arrive in their most inspired Halloween attire. Whether you opt for ghoulish glam or sophisticated spookiness, your style could win you a prize for “Best Dressed.”
Tickets are £15 plus and can be purchased here. The event is strictly 18+, and it will run 7-11:30 pm. All ticket and drink purchases support the work of the Victoria Baths Trust in preserving this iconic building for future generations to enjoy.
