Stick me on the MAC counter in Selfridges and I can stay there for hours (literally) on end, sampling new products and spending my princess pennies on everything from lipglass to the hottest eyelashes! I love trying new trends, new products and am always up for new ideas on how to do my make-up.

I don’t know about you girlies but I tend to get stuck in a make-up rut, finding the transition from winter to summer makeup an absolute minefield! I recently encountered the drag queen-esque look due to an epic fail of putting on dark colours whilst sitting in the sun outside Dukes! 3pm, several vinos later and make up looking like you have just come out of a cabaret show is not a pretty look!

It is my delight to tell you therefore that Selfridges will be holding a summer beauty event called Daringly Beautiful at the Trafford Centre store.

The event will see brands such as Shiseido, Bare Minerals, RMK, NARS, Benefit, Giorgio Armani, Estee Lauder and Kiehls; offering you make overs, the chance to sample the latest products and the opportunity to gain the info to create that perfect summer look!

Bare Minerals are even offering you the chance to become a model, when you have a Naturally Luminous collection make over; you could be selected to be a model in their live demonstration.

The good news gets even better! You will have the chance to sample products not even available to the public yet (I love when I have an item in my make up bag no one else has! Hence the addiction to MAC’s limited edition ranges when they launch!)

The event will include live music and a glass of fizz and if you spend £50 or more (which I am sure you beauty bunnies will) you will receive a luxury bag of beauty treats!

The event will be held on 12th May 2011 from 6pm-10pm – pop it in that Princess Diary ladies!
