Due to open as part of this year’s cancelled We Invented The Weekend Festival, MFM KIOSK is a brand-new shopping spot at the heart of the Quayside Media City community.
Launching this Thursday, the new riverside pop-up is collaborating with local brands who have a focus on promoting and following sustainable fashion, also housing an inclusive studio space for exhibitions, performances, education and workshops.
The concept has been brought to life by the team behind Manchester Fashion Movement, a collective focused on educating around the damaging effects of clothing consumption and waste on the planet.
With a vision to reimagine the shopping experience and engage the local community, over the course of the year MFM KIOSK will host a number of events allowing people to discover new independent brands.
Learning about design, development, and the brand journey, will hopefully bring to light the true language, meaning and importance of sustainability in the fashion world.
To celebrate the opening of MFM KIOSK, the store is hosting a huge party this Thursday from 6pm. Music will be provided by DJ Mix-Stress and KERB Wine will be pouring glasses of its curated bottles all night long.
Guests will get a chance to explore brands on the evening, including; Hera Vintage, Hedonist, Gbadebo, Revor Vintage, Nfôöwear Knitwear, Edward De Lacy, Sylkstore, Both Barrels bags and many more.
There’ll also be an opportunity to learn more about Manchester Fashion Movement and how to become a member. For £12 members gain access to a number of perks such as; priority tickets to events, exclusive early access to all research content on the website, discounts from selected brands and on all MFM merchandise and special giveaways.
