The former Fazenda restaurant in Spinningfields has reopened as Fogo de Chão following a £1m refurbishment and rebrand.
The restaurant on The Avenue reopened on Tuesday 22 September under the Fogo de Chão name, following the Brazilian steakhouse group’s takeover and rebranding of Fazenda’s UK restaurants.
The Manchester site has undergone a complete redesign and expansion, introducing a new interior inspired by Fogo de Chão’s southern Brazilian roots, as well as additional dining space.
Designed by international studio Harrison, the refurbishment uses darker tones, natural materials, statement lighting and sepia photography throughout.
A new open-view grill has also been introduced at the centre of the restaurant, while an additional light-filled dining room has increased the venue’s overall footprint.
Fogo de Chão was founded in Porto Alegre in southern Brazil in 1979 and is known for churrasco cooking, with cuts of meat grilled over fire and served rodizio-style directly at the table.
The Full Churrasco Experience sits at the centre of the Manchester menu, alongside the Market Table, featuring salads, charcuterie, vegetables and lighter dishes. Guests can also order premium and sharing cuts, alongside South American wines and cocktails.
Bar Fogo offers a more informal space for drinks and lighter dining, including a daily happy hour.
