Ice Skating Rink at Cathedral Gardens
From Monday 1st November
It’s already been known as ‘Scare Skate’ for over a week, but now it’s open as a festive Ice Skating rink. Over at Cathedral Gardens, it’ll be there until the 3rd January, so you’ve got plenty of time to strap on your boots and fall flat on your face countless times.

An Evening with Queen Bayard and Bay Bryan @ Feel Good Club
Wednesday 3rd November
A theatrical evening at Feel Good Club this week with two VERY different acts. Queen Bayard is all things drag, while Bay Bryan brings singer-songwriter realness. As well as electric performances from both acts, there’ll also be a raffle to win prizes, with all proceeds going to The Proud Trust.

‘Original Randm Material’ – Comedy from Ben Randm

Hitting up the unique exhibition space at the Great Northern this week is Ben Randm, a fantastic stand-up comedian who is solely independent; sourcing all of his own venues, artwork and promotion himself. Expect plenty of laughs, but also some deep subject matters ranging from racism to gender identity and male suicide prevention.

The Walk: Little Amal comes to Manchester
Wednesday 3rd November
The culmination of an epic 8000km journey, Little Amal, a nine-year-old refugee girl in the form of a 3.5 metre puppet will be arriving in Manchester this Wednesday after setting off from the Turkish-Syrian border in late July. This free event will see Little Amal arrive at Castlefield Bowl alongside live music, song, puppetry and dance.

This production at Contact Theatre couldn’t come at a more apt time, as world leaders sit down at the Cop26 summit in Glasgow this week. Exploring themes of climate change and sustainability, this play offers the chance for the audience to interact directly with the performance, whilst investigating the future of Greater Manchester.
