Ramona is set to open soon on Swan Street - but they need your help first!
A brand new venue featuring everything you need for a fantastic night out (pizza, beer garden, stage and bar) is set to open in the former Swan Street MOT station.
Ramona will be home to a Detroit Pizzeria & Bakery, Margarita Bar, Wood Grill, Beer Garden, Coffee Counter and Stage all set to open in stages.
First to open is pizza from Detroit a place that – a bit like Manchester – has an industrial past, big on cars. The rumour goes that someone combined motor oil to cook a pizza and somehow Detroit pizza was born.
The rectangular deep-pan pizza will be served from the former garage opposite Mackie Mayor bringing Detroit pizza to Manchester. They’ll have all the classic flavour combinations plus an entire vegan range to gobble up.
The site is an ex-MOT spot and has two massive warehouse spaces with incredibly cool mechanical details like roller shutter windows, industrial garage doors, corrugated roofs and skylights.
The folk behind the shop are also looking for some pizza testers(!!!!) ahead of their launch in two weeks time and it sounds like a job for you.
The venue will also have a margarita bar, beer garden, bakery, coffee counter and stage for plenty of live performances.
So if you want to get a taste of the action before the place opens for the public, head over to their Instagram and give them a follow – they’ll be picking people at random.
