Manchester International Festival opens this week – but if you can’t make it into the city, then MIF is presenting its biggest ever online programme – so you can enjoy the Festival wherever you are, whenever you want.

MIF LIVE is the Festival’s broadcast channel – going live on Thursday 1st July and running until Sunday 18th July. You’ll be able to stream several shows on demand, including:

All of This Unreal Time
A new film starring Cillian Murphy, written by Max Porter, directed by Aoife McArdle and with music by Aaron Dessner, Bryce Dessner and Jon Hopkins.

And premiering online for free at the Festival this year, Postcards from Now – five new films from artists under lockdown, considering the question that we’ve all been asking ourselves and others: what happens next?

You can also catch live music from Festival Square via MIF LIVE, which features a rolling schedule of free talks, Q&As and more.

The Festival will also be presenting online versions of visual artworks at mif.co.uk – visit the site to see Marta Minujín’s incredible Big Ben Lying Down, a temporary 42m sculpture in Piccadilly Gardens, or Cloud Studies, the latest exhibition from Forensic Architecture – and don’t miss the Virtual Factory, new digital projects inspired by the Festival’s future home.
