The all singing and dancing take on the cult classic film, Back To The Future: The Musical is at Manchester’s Opera House for a 12-week season which saw its world premier on February 20th.

The absolute pop culture phenomenon that is Back to the Future has been transported to the stage by the creators of the original film, Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis and it will blow your mind!
The main cast includes Roger Bart as ‘Doctor Emmett Brown’, Olly Dobson as ‘Marty McFly’, Hugh Coles as ‘George McFly’, Rosanna Hyland as ‘Lorraine Baines’ and Cedric Neal as ‘Goldie Wilson’, plus loads more incredible stars.
The Musical is based on the film, following the 35th anniversary of the movie and sees a book by Bob Gale and NEW music and lyrics by Emmy and Grammy-Award winning Alan Silvestri and six-time Grammy Award-winning Glen Ballard, with additional songs from the film including The Power of Love and Johnny B. Goode.
Directed by Tony Award-winning director, John Rando and multi-Tony & Olivier Award-winning design team including Tim Hatley (set & costume design), Hugh Vanstone and Tim Lutkin (lighting) plus Gareth Owen (sound), Fin Ross (video) and Chris Bailey (choreography).
Back to the Future, the movie was released in 1985 starring Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as Dr Emmett Brown. The story follows a rock n roll teenager who is accidentally transported back to 1955 in a time-travelling DeLorean.
To save his own existence, Marty must make sure his high-school-aged parents fall in love.
