It’s all change for the 2025 season of The Warehouse Project – with plans to install actual proper toilets and get rid of the dreaded portaloos.

More of the full line-up for 2025 is due to be announced today, but a few other notable changes for the year has also been dropped, including a change of the entrance from Baring Street to Temperance Street, and plans to encourage less phone use on the dancefloor.

In a note to mailing list subscribers, organisers said: “New, proper toilets (!) are being installed throughout the venue in an effort to eventually eradicate the portaloos completely. We should be at 80% proper flushable toilets by the time we open the doors for WHP25.”

They also added: “We know WHP can be a BIG experience and we don’t feel it’s always our place to try and enforce a strict no phones policy. However, we feel that club culture is best enjoyed in the moment with your friends, and your phone in your pocket.

“We’ve got a plan:

“You may have noticed a few more ‘Concourse Only’ events appearing on the calendar. For these more intimate shows we will be introducing a no phones policy and asking people to sticker their phone cameras upon entry (we’ll provide the stickers!).”

This follows the lead of other clubs discouraging phones on the dancefloor, including the likes of Amber’s, The White Hotel and clubnights like Mr Scruff’s Keep It Unreal, which has had a no phones on the dancefloor policy for several years now.

“For the full WHP shows, we’ll be encouraging everyone to keep their phones in their pockets, especially on the dancefloor,” they added. “Whilst not enforcing a no phones policy there will be signage around the venue asking people to simply respect those around them and limit use of phones generally whilst in the venue.

“At the end of each night, we’re planning to share a huge archive of professionally shot content (photos and video) from that night that will be fully prepared for you to use on your own socials. Every set will be shot by our in house team and you will have immediate access to it as soon as the music stops.”

Aside from these changes, there are also plans to overhaul all the production set-up in the main Depot room, introduce a new VIP ‘zone’ and mezzanine area, install a new sound system, as well as new video and lighting equipment.

The 2025 season begins on 6 September, with the Annie Mac ‘Before Midnight’ party, with other shows including Fisher on 20 September, You&Me’s 10th birthday on 27 September with Josh Baker, Seth Troxler and Kerri Chandler, Paradise with Jamie Jones on 17 October, Aitch on 29 October and Bary Can’t Swim on 21 November.

WHP events will also be happening across other venues in the city, including New Century with Daniel Avery and Factory International with Kettama.
