Celebrated Deansgate Polish restaurant, Platzki has announced a two-day festival honouring everyone’s favourite vegetable, the humble potato.
Whether you mash, roast, boil or even air fry your spuds, Platzki will be serving them up in pancake form this month, as it offers a menu of six different flavours for diners to enjoy on the 18th and 19th of January.
Hosted at its cosy restaurant that has its own flair and creativity for modern-day Polish cuisine, guests can enjoy Platzki’s fried crispy potato pancakes filled and topped with the likes of wild creamy mushrooms, sausage stew, mixed vegetables, roasted pork neck, sour rye soup and sauerkraut soup.
There’s no need to book a table for the event, as Platzki will be offering tables on a walk-in basis, too, making sure no one misses out on the unmatched enjoyment of a big plate of potatoey goodness.
Alongside this, Platzki also offers a huge menu of flavoured vodkas – an absolute must if you’re thoroughly soaking yourself this month and ignoring any Dry January deals.
A tipsy Polish tradition, diners will get the chance to gulp down some tasty flavours including; hazelnut, strawberry, raspberry, salted caramel, plum, chocolate cherry and more.
Located at Great Northern Warehouse, Platzki opened its doors 6 years ago fronted by a team of food fanatics. Taking a humble Polish potato pancake and turning it into a taste fest, this then led to the creation of a menu focused on dishes that are based on honest ingredients, injected with a passion for good food.
Its menu has grown to encompass traditional Polish street dishes using fresh and ethically sourced ingredients. Beyond the food, Platzki is also a family that strives to create an intimate, cosy and sociable dining experience.
