Sale’s brand new Foodhall is set to open its doors next Thursday 18th November, bringing with it an exciting line-up of food traders, community space and retail offerings.

The space, the latest from the Store Group (Ancoats General Store, Deansgate General Store etc), will be similar to the hugely popular Foodhall venue in neighbouring Stretford.

Located in Stanley Square, the unit has space for a rotating indie food vendor. The much-loved artisan pizza experts Basillico, and burger favourites What’s Your Beef will join the line-up as permanent residents.

The first temporary trader to join the Foodhall family at the new venue will be Eat Dutch, who will bring their authentic mini Dutch pancakes to Sale throughout November and December.

The new space boasts a 150-cover dining and drinking space, plus an outdoor terrace which has replaced the ‘Groceries and Beer’ unit which has been operated by the Store Group for the last two years.

Also on-site will be a bar serving local craft beers, wine and spirits, a coffee shop and bakery, plus General Store’s trademark ‘cornershop’ retail offering.

Flexible spaces will promote a variety of uses for the local community, from pop-up retail spaces to ever-changing workshops.

Mital Morar, Founder of Store Retail Group said: “We’re looking forward to becoming an even bigger part of the community here in Sale. It’s been a brilliant home to us over the last two years and we can’t wait to open the doors to a much bigger space.

“This is a chance for us to evolve into that proper community hub that we always strive to create—from baby groups to beer tastings, everyone is welcome. Our local neighbourhood is everything, and at the centre will always be quality independent food and drink as well as convenience.”

Award-winning design & build specialists for the hospitality sector, CDS Willman, have been called upon to lend their creative eye to the venue’s aesthetics.
