Easily one of the best pizzerias in the city, Ciaooo’s often eccentric creations have dazzled and impressed since opening in Ancoats back in 2018, and they’ve now improved, and added to their menu with a range of indulgent authentic pasta dishes.

Pasta was always something that Ciaooo had been looking to get involved in, when during lockdown they began offering up dishes for takeaway – to considerable success.

So much so in fact that they expanded to a second site in the Arndale Market – but with the continuing pandemic and lockdowns – this came to a halt at the end of 2020.

So, instead of just going back to their (outstanding) pizzas – they’ve now introduced a small but impressive Pasta Menu, featuring authentic dishes, from the relatively simple POMODORO (£10) with their classic homemade tomato sauce, to some terrifically indulgent offerings such as the PORK SHOULDER (£13) with tomato sauce, slow-cooked pork shoulder, nduja, parmesan and burrata.

A shout out should go to the truly exquisite ABRUZZO (£14) which comes with a truffle and mushroom sauce, mushrooms, fresh seasonal truffle brought over from Italy, sausage, burrata and parmesan. For any self-confessed truffle lover, this super-fresh offering is a must-try.

The Pasta menu sits alongside Ciaooo’s signature (and often eccentric) Starters, with the likes of Deep-Fried Ravioli (£7.50), Deep-Fried Lasagne (£7.50), Garlic Bread with Peanut Butter (£6.50) sure to catch your eye and tickle your taste buds.

Then there’s Ciaooo’s fabulous Neapolitan pizzas, and their notorious PIZZA CON BURRATA – unique ‘star’ pizzas topped liberally with all manner of meats, vegetables and cheeses and then topped with a hearty ball of burrata, which when cut open, oozes out to create a divine (perhaps even religious) pizza experience.
