Swinging open its doors once again on a Monday, El Capo is back with its post weekend pick me up in the form of tacos, burritos and tequila-based tipples, and, to celebrate, is offering 50% off the whole food menu this Monday (26th September).
The tequila bar on Tariff Street has made a name for itself over the years as one of the city’s best party destinations on the weekend, complete with flowing margaritas, live DJs and a packed-out dancefloor.
Now, they’re also making their name as a weekday Mexican Cantina, with a diverse Latin-American-inspired menu that features some amazing street food dishes and cocktails.
Going forward, every Monday will see the restaurant offer its entire taco menu from just £1 each.
There’s a huge range to choose from, including; Rump Steak, Corona Beer Battered Fish, Halloumi, Pork Carnitas, Beef Chilli, Grilled Prawn and Roasted Cauliflower, and we can confirm that they’re made to be paired with a margarita or a deliciously refreshing cold pint.
You’ll also find the price of El Capo’s burritos slashed in half this Monday, too, another staple of the restaurant’s menu. The huge, fluffy tortillas are stuffed with rice, cheese and lettuce and can be combined with a range of fillings such as beef steak strips, cajun chicken and jackfruit carnitas.
Another customer favourite, El Capo offers plates of loaded nachos for sociable grazing and even plates of chicken and cauliflower wings, which can be coated in either BBQ Bourbon, Peach and Jalapeno, Caliente or Diablo sauce. On Monday the nachos will set you back £3 and the wings will cost £2 for three or £3.50 for seven.
The relaunch of Mondays at the restaurant means that El Capo will now be back open seven days a week for drinking and dining. With sociable street food at its heart, the restaurant also has an outdoor terrace that’s perfect for soaking up the final summer rays.
