It’s Father’s Day this weekend and here’s my tip for what you should do for your dad; Buy him a Roast Dinner.
Simple.
Where to go though? There are SO many venues in the city doing banging roast dinners that it can almost be a nightmare just deciding where you’re going to eat on a Sunday afternoon. Well, why not go a little bit crazy this year and go for a WHOLE ROASTED LAMB?
Zouk are well known throughout the city for their fantastic Indian Roast Dinners, and this weekend they’ll be firing up the ovens and roasting overtime, not just their Whole Lamb but also their Leg of Lamb and Whole Chicken – with all the trimmings too (of course).
Serving up every Sunday from 12 noon to 5pm, there’s their Classic Sunday Roast, with a choice of roast topside of beef or a mini lamb roast (Lamb Henry) with all the trimmings. Each roast also comes with a choice of traditional gravy, spicy gravy or Zouk’s special peppercorn sauce.
If chicken is more your thing that the Whole Roasted Poussin is perfection on a plate – cooked beautifully in a marinade of gentle spices and served with juicy gravy. Veggies are not forgotten with the Zouk Vegetable tikka which is chargrilled and served with a spicy tomato masala. Each Zouk roast comes with seasonal vegetables, Yorkshire Puddings, a choice of gravy and golden roasted potatoes.
For the more adventurous lot out there, there’s Zouk’s Special Saji Roast served up Indian style. Marinated in traditional saji spices for 24 hours you can order Whole Chicken, Leg of lamb or even a whole roast lamb stuffed with spicy rice.
Sharing is a must with the saji roasts and while the whole chicken can feed 1 to 2 people – depending on how hungry they are the leg of lamb will serve 4-6 and the whole lamb (pictured above) up to 15.
Each saji roast comes with seasonal vegetables and golden roasted potatoes and a unique signature flavoursome spicy gravy. It’s certainly a Sunday dinner to remember but it’s worth mentioning pre-order is essential for these special roasts so be sure to mention it when making your booking.
