A new bar and beer hall by the team behind Mexican spot Madre is to open next month.
Salon Madre will open in the next door unit to Madre – the site that was formerly the Seven Bro7hers bar.
It will boast four pool tables, and is set to boast big screens that will show Lucha Libre (Mexican wrestling) as well as a host of US sports.
From the kitchen, the menu will feature dishes from next door, including al pastor tacos will be served daily, as well as rotating tacos of the day, along with gringas quesadillas, nachos loaded with al Ppastor and Madre’s famous burritos.
It’s set to open its doors on 6 December, and is taking booking for Christmas groups and parties.
Madre opened last summer, and has proved a hit for those seeking out authentic Mexican cuisine, as well as great cocktails, Mezcal and the odd show-stopping dish – which last year included a half pig’s head which was carved at the table.
Chef Sam Grainger, of Liverpool’s Belzan, is behind the concept, as well as Medlock Canteen, which also opened earlier this year.
