If you were lucky enough to visit Eat New York when it was on Oldham Street in the Northern Quarter you’ll know that the people of Prestwich are in for a real treat – as they announced their new venue in the suburb this week.

Reacting, like many, to the changing environment caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the team turned the company into a ‘premium takeaway’ business, and this is something that they’ll be continuing into the foreseeable future.

They’ve also managed to secure themselves some bricks and mortar, and once open – they’ll be serving up their signature sandwiches, bagels and cocktails once again.

Here’s what they’ve said:

“we are delighted to announce that Eat New York has a new home in Prestwich. A place that showed us frankly overwhelming support when we needed it most. We cannot wait to open our new site here. Expect all of our best food and so much more, with deliveries to town, collections and a cool spot to hang out and grab a beer.”

Hopefully this will give them the chance to offer up their truly magnificent Reuben Sandwich once again – a butty where every single monumental bite was 2 weeks in the making. Piled with house-cured pastrami – I think about this sandwich every single day of my life. I mean – just look at it…

Of course, there’s also their Bagels – of which the Salt Beef is their classic and signature offering. I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’ll be the best Salt Beef Bagel you’ll have eaten. Prove me wrong.

Anyway, they’re set to open up ‘SOON’, so keep an eye on their socials for updates…
