The team behind Liverpool’s PINS Social Club has submitted a planning application to bring their concept to Manchester in late spring 2026.

The new venue will occupy three levels and span 25,000 sq ft in the iconic Sunlight House on Quay Street.

The proposed site sits within the Grade II-listed, Art Deco Sunlight House, currently undergoing a £35 million restoration. The refurbishment is slated to complete by October, leaving time for fit-out ahead of the PINS opening.

The basement-level entertainment complex will combine multiple forms of socialising and leisure. The ground floor will feature a main stage for ‘electric half-time shows’, while inside will be tenpin bowling with VIP lanes, and a gaming mezzanine offering tech darts, pool, shuffleboard, beer pong, and karaoke. A dedicated sports bar will serve Manchester’s fans, and food will be available all day from breakfast through to late night.

Daniel Gillbanks, cofounder of PINS, said: “The vision for our business is centred around the guest — delivering an immersive experience in a venue that spans numerous common offerings. Providing a bar that unites competitive socialising, live entertainment and a strong programme of sports with the core focus of creating an ‘arena-like’ experience for guests to be a part of.”

Daniel Kelly, who joined as managing director in 2024, added: “Manchester is a city that thrives on energy, culture, and community — everything that PINS is about. This new venue will be our biggest yet, offering a bold and exciting social space. We can’t wait to bring our concept to Manchester’s incredible social scene. Keep an eye out for more details coming soon.”

In a 20-year lease, the PINS team will reconfigure parts of the former Bannatyne gym within Sunlight House, repurposing heritage features such as the building’s swimming pool and changing rooms as part of the layout.

Already resident in Sunlight House is Schofield’s Bar, the acclaimed cocktail bar named the best in the UK run by brothers Dan and Joe Schofield.

This marks PINS’ first expansion beyond Liverpool, and its developers describe it as the largest new hospitality development in Manchester in recent years.
