So last night I was sat in my dingy room in Levenshulme, watching an episode of It’s Always Sunny in my gruds, eating some Frosties with Full Fat Milk and I got a message from my mate in Mykonos.

I’d never even heard of Mykonos until then – except perhaps a fleeting reference in Troy between scenes of Brad Pitt’s abs – but now I was being bombarded with some mental videos on his Instagram stories.

These videos basically showed Usain Bolt, Olympic champion and Virgin Media user, with around 45 bottles of champagne, 20 girls, 20 lads and my mate and his missus, dancing on tables to some Europop tunes and spraying bubbly all over the place like Nigel Mansell in 1992.

It seems Mykonos is a massive new party and glamour holiday destination – if that’s the best way to describe it. My holidays usually revolve around either sleeping in a dorm room while a fat bloke from Colombia snores below me or lying on a deck chair in Benidorm with my darby out and a can of Strongbow in my hand.

Everyone is loving the Mykonos vibes now though – including those lovely people at Menagerie, who will be hosting a special Menagerie Land Summer Day Party this Bank Holiday featuring a ‘Jet Set Brunch’.

What this entails is Bottomless Brunch, including some lovely bubbly, and Menagerie’s brilliant Brunch dishes, paired up with some serious Mykonos vibes. Even the flyer mentions “Champagne Spray” so that must be a ‘thing’ and not just something Olympic sprinters do to show how much money they got from their last Puma advert.

So if you’re looking for a bit of a sexy, chilled out, holiday vibe this Sunday for your Bank Holiday – Menagerie is the place to be. Bottomless Brunch is £35 per person and includes unlimited Brunch and Lunch plates.
