Thursday 17th March marks St Patrick’s Day, a day to drown yourself in various shades of green and the refreshing thickness of a freshly poured Guinness, all while tapping your toes to traditional Irish music and preparing yourself for one of the worst hangovers of the year. The cultural and religious holiday is celebrated annually, and remembers the life of St Patrick who lived during the fifth century and is the patron saint of Ireland and its national apostle.
He was born in Roman Britain, but was kidnapped and brought to Ireland as a slave at the age of 16. He later escaped, but returned to Ireland and was credited with bringing Christianity to its people.
So what better way to celebrate the legend than drinking pint after pint of delicious stout?! And Crazy Pedro’s Bridge Street is making this even easier this year, as they’ve added Guinness to their Bottomless Brunch drinks menu for one day only.
