I’m sure you’ve all been traversing the deepest, darkest corners of the internet over the past couple of weeks, looking for things to keep you entertained while on lockdown.
Sure, there are ample live streamings going on, there’s Netflix and if all else fails, drinking two bottles of White Lightning and going on Chat Roulette will brighten up anyone’s day.
I’ve found something new though. Well, it’s actually been going for years but I’ve only just discovered it. It’s called GeoGuessr and it lets you travel all over the world from the comfort of your own living room.
Using the power of Google Maps Street View, GeoGuessr plonks you somewhere (anywhere) in the world and all you have to do is guess where you are. The closer on the map you are – the more points you get. Simples.
I’ve just been playing it for about an hour and my top score was: 5,782. See if you can beat it.
It’s free to play but if you pay $1.99 a month you can have access to a load of different maps – basically smaller ones which are city specific – meaning you can test your knowledge of Manchester’s streets and impress your mates/wife.
Head on over to www.geoguessr.com to have a play, travel a bit and see if you can beat my top score. Beat it and I’ll send you a prize*.
*Prize will be respect and love
