This week, Carhartt WIP announced that it will be revisiting a number of its favourite radio shows over the coming weeks.
The “Radio Rewind” instalments will be arriving every Thursday and Sunday, providing your ideal lockdown listening with an extensive archive of exclusive mixes and interviews.
It was back in 2015 that we saw Carhartt WIP bring the party to Manchester with its immense European Radio Tour popping up at Oldham Street’s original Carhartt WIP store.
The exclusive pop-up DJ set with Ruf Dug, Sean Canty, Jonny Dub and was hosted by Jon K was broadcast live on London-based online radio station NTS from a special, custom-built booth which replicated the original NTS Radio booth in London before moving on to the NQ’s iconic Soup Kitchen for an immense official afterparty.
Itching for their return ever since, the announcement of Carhartt WIP’s “Radio Rewind” has got us super excited.
Their latest instalment of their Radio Rewind series presents Deadbeat – Trojan Records Radio Show, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic reggae label in 2018.
Curated by Canadian DJ and producer Deadbeat, the show dig deep into the archives of Trojan Records mirroring the many ska, rocksteady, reggae and dub hues of the British label.
