Saturday 25th September will see the Courteeners head home with a massive show at the Emirates Old Trafford, the cricket ground, where they’ll sing some proper anthems and people will go absolutely bloody mad with pints thrown up in the air and flares flinging all over the place.
If you’ve managed to bag yourself a ticker, or even if you haven’t, then this pre-show party over at The Pen & Pencil is perfect for getting you in the Courteeners mood.
Kicking off from 4pm – 7pm, the party will be headed up by XS Manchester DJ and Inspiral Carpets legend Clint Boon, who’ll be banging on a load of the ‘teeners top tunes, plus a load of other dead good Manc tunes also.
The party is completely FREE – and will be the perfect spot for really getting in the mood for it. Then it’s just a little walk to the tram at Piccadilly Gardens where you can get to the gig in about 10 minutes flat.
