Nestled on Deansgate Mews, Another Hand is a 24-seat hidden gem that has become one of Manchester’s most exciting dining spots since opening in 2022. Founded by Julian Pizer and Max Yorke, both with experience at top Manchester restaurants like Edinburgh Castle and Hispi, it started as an offshoot of their popular 3 Hands Deli but quickly evolved into a destination for refined yet relaxed dining.
With a strong focus on seasonality and sustainability, Another Hand sources ingredients from Cinderwood Market Garden, Platt Fields Market Garden, Littlewoods Butchers, and Holy Grain, ensuring that everything on the plate has been carefully considered. The ever-changing small plates menu is designed to showcase bold flavours, unique combinations, and expert craftsmanship, with a mix of modern techniques and classic inspirations.
The wine list leans heavily on low-intervention bottles, complementing the carefully crafted dishes, while expertly made cocktails and craft beers round out the drinks offering. The open kitchen layout allows diners to watch the chefs at work, adding an element of theatre to the dining experience, while the warm, intimate space—with burnt orange booths, deep teal walls, and moody lighting—creates a welcoming yet refined atmosphere.
Already recognised by the Michelin Guide, Another Hand has cemented its place as a standout addition to Manchester’s food scene, proving that thoughtful, ingredient-led cooking in a laid-back setting can still deliver exceptional quality and creativity.
