Last year, a mysterious website called Simonneedsyou.com appeared online, asking ‘are you aged around 16-18 and a global superstar in the making?’
It was a shout-out for talent from Simon Cowell’s storied Syco management company – the team behind the likes of One Direction, Little Mix, Leona Lewis and Olly Murs – with auditions set for Liverpool, Dublin and London.
As it turned out, applicants would be getting more than they bargained for. Not only would they be getting the chance to be in a new, Cowell-backed boyband, they’d also be starring in a Netflix show called Simon Cowell: The Next Act.
Enter Cruz, Danny, Hendrik, John, Josh, Nicolas and Sean (spoilers, they won the show), the members of new act December 10, who went on their first UK tour earlier this year.
