Mary-Ellen McTague, Gemma Saunders and Kathleen O’Connor, founders of Eat Well MCR said: “We cannot wait to kick off our first festival and hope you will continue to support us on our journey as we continue to support others in our city in need.

“Your ongoing support funds meals that go to families experiencing homelessness, women taking refuge in sheltered accommodation, parents of children staying in hospital, food banks and schools supporting families affected by food poverty.”

Since forming in lockdown, the organisation has provided more than 100,000 free meals to those suffering food poverty in Manchester.
