Middle Eastern restaurant Habas, which featured in the Michelin Guide, is to be replaced by a new games bar and restaurant, with darts, shuffleboard and DJs.

Black Cat Club will open on the subterranean site on Brown Street next month, from the team behind the likes of El Gato Negro and Canto in Ancoats.

It’ll feature ‘next generation’ shuffleboard, with automatic scoring and interactive screens for two teams to battle it out.

There will also be ‘FlyBy’ darts games, and a menu which will feature pizzas, burgers, sharing, small plates and cocktails.

Simon Shaw from Mills Hill Development Limited said: “We are thrilled to announce the launch of new concept, Black Cat Club, sister venue to Michelin recommended El Gato Negro and neighbourhood favourite, Canto.

“Our new concept is all about bringing people together in a high energy environment, with great music and refined interiors. We’re introducing interactive group games alongside a diverse and contemporary food menu.

“We can’t wait to open our doors and see you all at Black Cat Club.”
