The team behind 10 Tib Lane have announced a new bar project – Posie will be opening this autumn in Bruntwood SciTech’s Bloc building, on the site of the old Philpotts sandwich shop, off Market Street.
The 1800 sq ft venue will span two levels and seat around 50 people. At the centre will be a cocktail bar, with bar stools overlooking the whole space, with an extensive cocktail list, a mix of wines, craft beers and a proper coffee offering, designed to take you from morning to late night.
The food menu will be slightly less extensive than Tib Lane, but just as accomplished, serving oysters, bar snacks and sharing plates to pair with drinks. Seating will range from booths and tables to a few al fresco spots outside.
10 Tib Lane was opened in July 2021 by Ben Gretton, Sophie Robson and Joe White, and has become a regular spot on Manchester’s increasingly world-class cocktail scene.
Set in a three-storey townhouse just off Albert Square, it’s known for seasonal small plates and a great wine selection, as well as its cocktail list. It also turns out one of the best Sunday roasts in the city, and is known for a Happy Hour that has gained a loyal following thanks to £6 cocktails and oysters for a quid.
Joe White said: “Since opening 10 Tib Lane we have gained a reputation for great food with an inviting atmosphere, along with a delicious drinks menu. With our next venture, we really want to showcase our freedom to be experimental and creative, and make some of the best cocktails in the city.”
