If you’ve ever pinched one of the brass chopstick rests from Japanese-inspired seafood restaurant Sexy Fish – the ones engraved with ‘Stolen From Sexy Fish’ – you’ve got a decision to make.
They’re marking their 10th anniversary – and the Manchester outpost’s second birthday – by launching their ‘Missing Fish’ campaign; customers who bring back a pinched chopstick rests through the month of August will get a complimentary cocktail from their new X Cocktail menu.

Over the past decade, more than 558,000 of these bespoke chopstick mascots have disappeared from tables across Sexy Fish locations as diners stuffed them into handbags and snuck them into pockets.
Sexy Fish began in Mayfair in 2015 and has since expanded to Miami in 2022, Manchester in 2023, and Dubai in late 2024.
The concept, developed by Richard Caring with interiors by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and artworks by Damien Hirst, blends glamorous mid‑century design with Japanese culinary creativity and hospitality.
