Sausage Roll Pies, Art, Plants & LOADS more: Ancoats Pop-up Market at Cutting Room Square this Weekend 

Following the big success of the Ancoats Pop-up market back in September, this will be the second event at the brand-new location in Cutting Room Square.

After the move from their old spot on Radium Street right into the heart of Ancoats, the market has boomed from just 11 stalls to a whopping 30!

Join in on the fun this weekend for a curated market selling everything imaginable from pet accessories to soy candles and everything else in between. 

Expect some banging tunes, a buzzing vibe and a strong community spirit throughout the day.

Stay tuned for a sneak peek into all the best stalls you should check out when you pop down this weekend. It’s open both Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 – 16:00.

Home & Pets

Saturday

Coming in strong is Mello Haus, a vintage store selling some top-notch retro kitchenware. On the theme of unusual accessories, sculpt your house into a home with some more unique homeware for sale. Whether it’s a gift for you or a friend, let The Sculpts help you make a statement. 

MELLO HAUS

Imprints of Earth also has some groovy small-batch wheel-thrown ceramics up for grabs alongside Laugh Then Copy who makes some funky cement homeware à la Y2K. 

Talking statements, why not create a welcoming vibe to your home with North & Soy’s aromatherapy essential oil candles. 

Not into aromatherapy? Not to worry as Anie Studio has you covered for minimal waste and consciously crafted homeware; think trinket dishes, mugs, coasters and more.

Plant Shop Manchester

Whether you want to make your home into a green oasis or a fully-fledged jungle, Plant Shop has you covered for all things green! 

In terms of pets, there’s Ernie & Theo, the lovely lot behind adorable handmade pet accessories from bandanas to bowties to doggy drying robes. Then, there’s The Dog Cake Co who do exactly what it says on the tin, make cakes for your dog.

Slot & Groove are totally redesigning the art of the flat-pack while Northern Lights seamlessly mixes a range of amazing plants, flowers, homeware and wine all in one great stall! 

Need something to hold all your plants in? Check out Sefton Macrame for a broad range of macramé homewares using branches from Sefton Park in Liverpool. 

 

Food & Drink

Saturday

There’s a whole host of great food and drink vendors that’ll be selling their creations this weekend. From Root2Ginger’s organic ginger concentrate to Paradiso’s authentic Italian deserts – expect tiramisu in every which way. 

Need something a bit more substantial? The Little Yellow Rice Co will also be back in full force serving up their legendary Malaysian chilli sauces, a range of Nyonya-inspired scented candles, and a new range of wax melts plus curry puffs, Kuih Talam and Pandan Madeleines. 

Glazed

Don’t fear all you plant-based peeps for The Vegan Picnic Basket has arrived, creating tasty vegan versions of all your picnic favourites ft. sausage rolls, deep-dish cookie slices and porkless pies. 

Following the picnic theme is Glazed, Manchester’s first-ever sourdough doughnut company ready to show off their enticing range of sweet treats. Spoilt for choice with baked goods, you’ve also got Manchester Bakery to look forward to selling some to die for fudge brownies

Another fudge vendor to look out for, Flying Fudge will be selling their artisan goods alongside Potter’s Pies – a mum and son pie-making hero duo. Expect their self-proclaimed original and best one, the cheese and onion pie, to warm your cockles as you walk around.

Herbie’s Homemade Ferments will be selling their vegan sour press “cheese” alongside MUSMUS who are here for all things hummus. 

Want to add a very special addition to her spice rack? The Luxury Truffle Company are selling the finest truffle products from around the world alongside Nammak, traditional Himalayan salt vendors. 

The Flat Baker, a tropical bakery, will have their unique ​​fresh pastries up for grabs as well as The Cole Men serving flavour-first vegan sauce for everyone.

If you’re looking to add a pop of colour and personality to your four walls, there’s set to be a great line-up of fab artists selling their stuff this weekend including some eclectic work by Rach Evans and some killer photography and illustration prints from around the world courtesy of Millistrations

Catering for all budgets is ForrSsa selling affordable abstract art, colourful digital prints and hand-painted cards perfect for stocking up in the runup to Christmas!

Home of all things colour, Penny & Me is to go-to for vivid and eye-grabbing prints that’ll brighten up any room you stick them onto. 

Jive Prints, the lovely lot behind the colourful but minimalist murals and event decor we see all over, will also be selling prints and illustrations of their work. 

Ellie Barker

Ready to put her calligraphy up for sale is Calli by Steph, perfect for gift tags, cards and labels as well as Ellie Barker who runs a cracking branding studio. Blumeli will also be putting out her array of positive art, prints and mugs.

Clay & Coats and Kitty Wildart will be selling their lightweight, zero-waste clay earrings alongside Lucile Vanlerberghe who specialises in metal-stamped personalised jewellery to add a little character to your bling. Ethically sourced and one-of-a-kind, El’s Rings & Tings is another great vendor to keep your eyes peeled for. 

Luciola Creations

Perfect for gifts or just to treat yourself, Hoop & Fred are your go-to’s for designs inspired by all things natural and man(c)-made alongside Bobbins Broider if you’re into more minimalist designs. 

For handmade knitted hats, headbands and scarves swing by Elle’s stall for something cosy that would also make a great gift.

Third Eye of Newt will be selling a load of handmade jewellery alongside by Brodie. who has some gorgeous handmade hairbands up for sale. Curious Shapes also has a bunch of statement polymer clay pieces to jazz up your jewellery box!
